Recently, the Caretaker and Extra-ordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of All progressive Congress acknowledged the need for effective dispute settlement and agreed to seek unity actively on all sides in order to grow up as a stronger party ahead of the Congresses and the general elections of 2023. So this decision prompted the registration of new members and revalidation of old members of All progressive Congress in all states and local Governments and also in way to bring in those who have reached the age of being a politician.
The registration started on Jan 25, 2021 and a spontaneous membership registration was noted in Isokan Local Government Area (Isokan LGA) in all local governments in Osun state to a number that has not been recorded before.
A lot of questions arose on what really triggers people's interest in the registration. However, investigation proved that there exist a public spirited and selfless leader who is always ready to pay the price for the growth of APC in Isokan LG Osun State.
It was confirmed that this personality paid the price, made it easier for all members to be captured and get their membership cards printed and laminated for free. It is nobody else but Goke Odetunde. It was also discovered that his effort prompted some other leaders too to supporting the progress of the registration. The investigation also proved that many people joined the party because of his personality and he's been the backbone for the massive registration of APC members in Isokan LGA.
As a progressive minded leader of APC who have his Seat in the coal city of Apomu in Osun state said the action was taken in order to assist both active and intending party members who might not be able to afford the passport fee so that they can be able to registered within the stipulated period given for the Registration.
Moreover, he said his major target is to ensure Isokan Local Government record huge figure in order to seal the second term ambition of Alh. Gboyega oyetola as the Governor and his deputy Gboyega Alabi come 2022. Because that is panacea to continuous growth and development of osun state in all sectors of economy.
In his conclusion, Hon. Q/SV GOKE ODETUNDE charged all leaders of the party(APC) to emulate such progressive way out and also implore people to ensure they registered in a way to exercise their political right as citizens of Nigeria.
