On December 6, 2023, the OSUN APC, led by Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, conducted a vital sensitization tour in Apomu, the headquarters of Isokan Local Government.
The local party chairman Mr Bashiru Osunlakin, warmly welcomed the state leadership, expressing delight at hosting such a significant event.
During the visit, Isokan APC leaders like Hon Ajibola Maruf, Hon Yemi Lawal, Hon Akeem Badiru, and Alhaji Azeez Akinleye took turns welcoming the state leadership. They seized the opportunity to address challenges facing the local chapter, providing valuable recommendations for improvement.
Sooko Tajudeen, in his sensitization address, encouraged party members to actively participate in political activities. He acknowledged the setback following the loss in the July 2022 gubernatorial election but assured members that the party would reclaim its position in the next election. Chief Tajudeen emphasized the importance of organizing and attending ward meetings and urges its commencement
Acknowledging the efforts of present leaders and Hon Goke Odetunde in his absence, Sooko Tajudeen commended their selfless service in upholding the party.
The state Working Committee , in their separate response, called for calm among members, assuring them that the dividends of democracy from the federal government would benefit everyone, given the party's federal standing.
The sensitization tour witnessed the participation of key state executives, including the state woman leader, state youth leader among others.
Notable support groups like Goke Women Vanguard, AOB Support Group, Larry J Support Forum, Goke Elders Forum, and Goke Media Crew were also present, showcasing a united front for the party.
