We are aware of the recent speculations regarding the disqualification of Isokan Local Government APC Chairmanship Candidate and six others from the forthcoming local government election.
The news of mistakes in the names submitted, as announced by OSIEC under Barrister Hashim Abioye, is nothing more than a ploy to derail us. Let it be known that the leadership of APC swiftly responded and took immediate steps to correct the issue, even though the blame lies with the poor administration of OSIEC.
Despite our efforts, OSIEC's abrupt closure of their office on the second day of their announcement, well before the end of the stipulated time, further exposes their bias and intentional attempts to frustrate our great party. This action, alongside their previous irregularities, is a clear indication that OSIEC is acting under the influence of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), a party desperate to avoid defeat in areas like Isokan Local Government where they sense they cannot win.
We urge all members of APC in Isokan and supporters of Hon. Goke Odetunde to remain calm and resolute. These tactics are merely attempts to confuse and distract us from our goal. We are confident that the people of Isokan are with us, and no gimmick from OSIEC or PDP can change the will of the people.
Our resolve remains unshaken, and we will not allow these underhanded tactics to deter us.
