HON. GOKE ODETUNDE CONDEMNS VIOLENT ATTACKS ON HIS FOLLOWERS AND CALLS FOR POLICE INVESTIGATION OF THE EVIL PERPETRATORS.
Hon. Goke Odetunde the Chairman of Isokan Local Government strongly censures the violent attack on APC party members by the members of PDP thugs in Isokan Local Government Area on Monday 17th February 2025 during the resumption of certified Chairman and councilors following the Appeal court verdict.
Hon. Goke Odetunde orchestrated the violent attack by PDP thugs further heightening tension surrounding the resumption of the Local Government Chairmen across all the local governments in Osun State.
Hon. Goke Odetunde described the acts as planned which is unacceptable. He stated that the violent attack was to disrupt the peaceful resumption of the Chairman and his team of Councillors at the local government secretariat which later got some APC members injured while the incident claimed the lives of some members.
Hon. Goke expresses his dissatisfaction with the ugly incident that claimed the life of Mr. Hazzan and sympathizes with the family of the deceased as well as the injured ones. He further appeals to the Nigerian Police Force(NPF) to look critically into the matter and bring out the evil perpetrators to face the consequences of their criminal actions.
Politics shouldn't be seen as a way of perpetrating evils against individuals who are not in the same caucus or party but be seen as a way of uniting one another even when ideology differs- Hon Goke Odetunde advised.
