*Five Years After, the Seeds Hon. Goke Planted Are Still Blossoming*
Five years ago, on November 13, 2020, Hon. Goke Odetunde — now the Executive Chairman of Isokan Local Government — planted a seed of hope and empowerment in the lives of Apomu youths through a life-changing programme organised by the Federation of Apomu Students.
In his generosity, Hon. Goke singlehandedly sponsored not fewer than ten youths from Apomu to undergo six months of intensive vocational training in various crafts such as decoration and baking, hair styling and makeup, barbing, and other creative skills.
After their successful training, he went further to sponsor the graduation ceremony and provided each participant with the essential tools and equipment needed to start their own businesses — all fully funded from his personal resources.
The empowerment initiative, held under the leadership of Comrade Badiru Tope Usman as President of the Federation of Apomu Students, has since produced several successful entrepreneurs who now stand tall as CEOs in their various crafts, contributing positively to the growth of Apomu and beyond.
Today, five years down the line, those seeds of kindness sown by Hon. Goke Odetunde have blossomed into stories of success, self-reliance, and community development. His action remains a timeless testament to his compassion, vision, and enduring commitment to human empowerment — values he continues to uphold as the Executive Chairman of Isokan Local Government.
