HON. GOKE ODETUNDE RESUMES OFFICE, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO GOOD GOVERNANCE
Yesterday, 9th September 2026, the Executive Chairman of Isokan Local Government, Hon. Goke Odetunde, resumed at the Local Government Secretariat, Apomu, following the recent Osun State Governorship Election, alongside members of his cabinet and party members.
During a brief meeting with his cabinet, Hon. Goke Odetunde assured them that they should remain rest assured that the Osun State Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) remains the legal occupant of the Local Government Secretariats across the state. He further stated that they remain firmly in power until 2028.
Hon. Goke Odetunde further disclosed that his administration will soon unveil a healthcare program for the people of Isokan Local Government. He noted that many people are currently battling various health challenges, but financial incapacity has remained a major reason why they continue to suffer from such ailments. He therefore stated that his administration will continue to place the welfare and well-being of the good people of Isokan Local Government at the forefront of its priorities.
Among the cabinet members as well as party leaders who resumed with the Council Chairman were Hon. Basiru Osunlakin, Hon. Waheed Ilelaboye, Hon. Tajudeen Raji, Hon. Niyi Oyebola, Hon. Abolore, Hon. Ogunfiolu Waheed, Hon. Fawale, Hon. Kunle Akindunbi, and Hon. (Mrs.) Basirat, among others.
