Hon. Goke Odetunde hosts the OYES Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme and promises to settle outstanding salaries and inspires Greater Commitment.
Hon. Goke Odetunde , Executive Chairman of Isokan local government , recently hosted cadets and officials of the Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme (O-YES) Isokan local government team in a significant grassroots engagement aimed at reinforcing youth development and addressing welfare concerns.
During the engagement with OYES cadets , Chairman Goke Odetunde reaffirmed his administration's commitment to the youths of Isokan and the wider Osun state. He acknowledged the important role that the youths play in community development and nation-building and emphasised that the local government leadership stands firmly with them in their quest for economic empowerment and dignity.
A key highlight of the meeting was Hon. Goke Odetunde's pledge to resolve the outstanding backlog of OYES stipends owed by the PDP government in the state, particularly the arrears covering up to ten months of unpaid stipends. He assured the OYES cadets that his administration was actively working to mobilise resources and liaise with the appropriate authorities to ensure that these outstanding payments are cleared promptly. By committing to clearing these back payments, the chairman sought to restore confidence among the cadets who have faithfully served under the OYES banner while awaiting remuneration.
