HON. GOKE ODETUNDE PLEDGED CONTINUED SUPPORT FOR PPSF IN A STRATEGIC MEETING HELD TOWARD AUGUST 15TH ELECTION AMONG OTHER PLANS .


The Progressive Public Service Forum (PPSF), Irewole/Isokan Local Government, held a strategic meeting with Hon. Goke Odetunde at ADC Grammar School, Apomu today 23rd March, 2026. 

PPSF is made up of civil servants, tertiary institution staff, SUBEB, TESCOM personnel, and representatives from other government agencies across Irewole/Isokan Local Government.

During the meeting, PPSF presented their plans and outlined their roles for the upcoming Osun State Governorship Election scheduled for August 15, 2026. The forum emphasized that its members have been strategically positioned to play key roles before and during the election. They also unveiled a proposal aimed at sensitizing and educating the public to boost voter turnout across the local governments.

The forum made several requests to support their mobilization efforts, including:

• Provision of motorcycles for grassroots mobilization

• A standby vehicle for AMBO campaign movements

• Free WAEC, NECO, and JAMB registration for students
Scholarship opportunities for higher/tertiary education

• Access to local government empowerment forms for members

•Adequate logistics before, during, and after the election
Consideration for political appointments

In his response, Hon. Goke Odetunde assured the group that their requests would be considered based on their commitment and strength within the party. He urged members to intensify their efforts and give full support in the forthcoming election, while also working closely with party executives.

He further reiterated his long-standing commitment to education, noting that the provision of free WAEC, NECO, and JAMB forms has been part of his initiatives over the years and will continue. He also revealed plans to commence a sustained scholarship program for students in the near future.

Hon. Odetunde pledged full support for PPSF, stating that the forum would be integrated into campaign strategies and should expect political appointments after a successful election outcome. He also announced the immediate allocation of 10 empowerment forms to the group.

In the same vein, Hon. Basiru Osunlakin, the Isokan local government All Progressive Congress (APC) Chairman encouraged members to remain focused and actively mobilize support for the upcoming election.
