Hon. Goke Odetunde Increases OYES Stipend from ₦12,500 to ₦50,000, Disburses May Payment to Over 500 Beneficiaries
The Executive Chairman of Isokan Local Government, Hon. Goke Odetunde, has fulfilled his commitment to youth welfare by increasing the monthly stipend for OYES beneficiaries from ₦12,500 to ₦50,000.
Yesterday, more than 500 OYES cadets across Isokan Local Government received ₦50,000 each as payment for the month of May.
The Chairman has further assured that this payment will be made monthly to ensure sustained support for all beneficiaries.
This adjustment represents a fourfold increase from the previous stipend rate of ₦12,500, which remained unpaid under the PDP/ACORD administration led by Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Since assuming office, Hon. Odetunde pledged that OYES cadets would no longer be neglected. The timely disbursement and upward review of the stipend reflect his administration’s dedication to putting people first and investing in the youths who serve their communities.
Beneficiaries have expressed appreciation for the Chairman’s intervention, noting that the new ₦50,000 monthly payment will alleviate financial hardship and motivate continued service under the scheme.
Residents and stakeholders have also commended the initiative, describing it as a clear demonstration of responsive, accountable, and people-centered leadership at the grassroots level.
