ISOKAN APC HOLDS STRATEGIC STAKEHOLDERS’ MEETING AHEAD OF 2026 GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION
Earlier today, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Isokan Local Government Chapter, held a strategic stakeholders’ meeting involving party leaders and selected Ward Executives from the 11 wards across Isokan Local Government. The meeting focused on strengthening the party’s structure and reviewing its level of preparedness ahead of the forthcoming 2026 gubernatorial election in Osun State.
Addressing the gathering, the Isokan Local Government APC Chairman, Hon. Basiru Osunlakin, commended party executives for their unwavering commitment and continuous efforts toward the growth and progress of the party. He charged members to shun every form of disloyalty through actions, utterances, and participation in activities capable of undermining the party, whether in public or in secret.
Hon. Osunlakin also urged members not to be distracted by the ongoing movement of politicians across different political parties in the state. He emphasized the need for party faithful to understand and uphold the ideology of the All Progressives Congress (APC), noting that such understanding would prevent members from falling into unfavorable circumstances. He further encouraged party members to always seek their rights and responsibilities within the party structure in recognition of their contributions to the development of the party at both the local government and state levels.
Speaking during the meeting, Hon. Waheed Ilelaboye stressed that serving the party with sincerity and a pure heart remains the highest level of loyalty. He charged members to remain faithful, committed, and steadfast to the APC, while appealing to aggrieved members to remain calm and focused, assuring them that victory for the party in the August 15, 2026 gubernatorial election remains non-negotiable.
In his remarks, the Executive Chairman of Isokan Local Government, Hon. Goke Odetunde, stated that politics should not be viewed as a primary source of livelihood. According to him, individuals should engage in productive ventures or occupations while treating politics as an avenue for service and an additional means of support.
Hon. Goke Odetunde further emphasized the importance of patience among party members in anticipation of rewards for their sacrifices and dedication to the party. He reaffirmed that the Isokan APC remains a united family that does not discriminate based on caucus affiliation, gender, town, or religion, assuring members that the dividends of the party would always be distributed fairly and equitably.
