Isokan Sports Festival: Hon. Goke Odetunde Pledges to Invest in Sports Development, Urges Support for AMBO in August 18 Governorship Election

Apomu city was agog yesterday as the grand finale of the Isokan Sports Festival was held at ADC Grammar School, Oke-Ola, Apomu, where  Cocoa Buyers Association FC Apomu defeated Tailor FC Ikoyi 2-0 to lift the trophy.

The event drew a large crowd of fans, sports enthusiasts, and members of various artisan groups from Apomu, Ikoyi, and Ikire.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Goke Odetunde announced his readiness to invest in sports development in Isokan Local Government, stressing that grassroots sports will be a key focus under his leadership. He urged participants not to relent in showcasing their talent, noting that commitment and dedication always attract reward.
The Isokan council boss commend the effort of the organising committee led by Mr Opeyemi Ayegbo and Mr Amoo Adeleye the chairman and secretary respectively, he congratulated the winners and commended the sportsmanship displayed by all teams that participated in the competition.

Hon. Goke also used the occasion to charge residents to vote for all APC candidates in the coming elections, especially Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, the APC candidate for the August 18 governorship election.

During the trophy presentation, the winners received ₦200,000 cash and sports kits, the runners-up got ₦100,000 and sports kits, while the second runners-up received ₦100,000.

Several individual awards were also sponsored by the wife of the Chairman, Hon. Mrs. Yemisi Odetunde, in recognition of outstanding performances throughout the festival.

Dignitaries at the event included the FA Chairman, Coach Kazeem Oseni, Hon. Niyi Oyebola, Amotekun Commandant Comrade Ayodeji Ojeniyi, and other dignitaries and sports lovers.

The atmosphere was jubilant as the community witnessed a first-of-its-kind sports festival.
